MAINTENANCE & CARE
- Wait 24-48 hours before washing/sweating post installation.
- Do not go to bed with your hair wet or leave the bonds wet as this can soften the bond.
- Avoid over styling the hair and high heat on or near the bond when blow drying/flatironing.
- When brushing the extensions, work from the bottom up, holding the section you are brushing at the base (near the bond) to avoid tension.
- Avoid brushing directly on the bond.
- As the extensions grow out, gently pull them apart from one another to avoid tangling.
- Use our Platinum Seamless products- shampoo, conditioner, leave-in conditioning spray, mask as needed.
- Do not put oils/conditioner on or near the bond. Apply mid shaft down.

KERATIN BOND EXTENSIONS FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How long do they last?
- 3-5 months. The finer/thinner your hair, the sooner they should be removed.
Are they safe for fine/thin hair?
This is not our “go-to” system for fine/thin hair. Our tape in system, is best suited for fragile hair. However, in a rare case where it is deemed that a client with fragile hair should go this route, we advise short term wear and customize bonds to micro bonds as best practices. Customizing the bond to make it smaller is common with all hair types in finer areas. This system is best for medium to thick hair and can be combined with other hair extension systems.
What are some variables that can affect my overall cost?
- Your starting baseline length
- Your goals regarding volume and length
- The brand
- Customizing the bond to suit the density of your hair, as well as customizing the color, are common practices with this method. Both make for longer appointment times.
- The thicker your hair, the more hair extensions are needed to match the density.
- A baseline of very short hair will need more bonds. Due to the complexity of this job, this leads to long appointment times.
How often should I get touch-ups?
Touch-ups are rare, but if needed, we typically focus on the finer areas. We recommend removal and reinstallation based on your hair growth rate, with finer or thinner hair, removal/reinstall should be on the sooner end (3 months).
Can I just send a picture of my hair vs an in-person consultation?
Hair extensions are an investment in yourself, and we’re committed to delivering the best results. While photos can help, they don’t always capture essential details with accuracy like color and density. To ensure clear expectations and a seamless experience, we start every client with a complimentary 30-minute consultation.
